I’m Chris Buerckner.

I teach SolidWorks the way it’s actually used.

Chris Buerckner, Certified SOLIDWORKS Expert and founder of Fully Defined

Not from a textbook. Not from a training manual. From 18+ years of using SolidWorks daily as a practising product design engineer.

I’m a Certified SOLIDWORKS Expert, the highest level of certification available. I’ve designed products that go to market, led design & engineering teams, and spent a decade teaching CAD at RMIT University. Fully Defined is where all of that comes together.

If you want to learn from someone who’s still in the industry, still solving real problems, still using the tools. This is it.

Why it matters who teaches you

Real industry methods

Every technique taught here comes from actual design practice. Not academic exercises. Not workarounds. Methods that hold up under production pressure.

Certification credibility

A CSWE has passed every SolidWorks certification exam available. When the course covers exam prep, it’s from someone who knows exactly what the standard requires.

Still in the field

I work as a Senior Product Design Engineer at Quad Lock, designing products used by hundreds of thousands of people worldwide. I’m not teaching from memory. I’m teaching from Monday.

How Fully Defined started

I started teaching SolidWorks at RMIT as a bridge between graduating and getting my first design job. I loved it so much that, even after getting a job, I negotiated time off to keep teaching and went on to teach hundreds of Industrial Design students over ten years.

Fully Defined is my way of giving back to design and SolidWorks for enabling me to develop the life and career I’d always wanted.
